The Craft
Repair as Practice
Every repair follows the same discipline. Observe. Diagnose. Restore. Verify.
01
Observation
We begin by listening. What does the appliance tell us through its symptoms, its sounds, its wear patterns? Before any tool touches a component, we observe. This is not rushing — it is the foundation of accurate diagnosis.
02
Diagnosis
Structured inquiry with manufacturer-grade instruments. Microamp readings on igniters. Thermostat cycling accuracy at altitude. Convection motor RPM verification. We identify the root cause, not just the visible symptom.
03
Restoration
Genuine OEM parts installed with care. Every connection secured, every calibration verified for 5,430-foot elevation. A repair is not complete until the appliance performs as its engineers intended — at this altitude, in this climate.
04
Verification
Full operational testing under real conditions. Temperature accuracy, flame quality, airflow patterns, cycle completion. We document everything and ensure the repair will hold through seasons of Boulder's demanding environment.
Altitude Changes Everything
At 5,430 feet, atmospheric pressure is 17 percent lower than at sea level. Gas burns differently. Convection behaves differently. Water boils at 202 degrees instead of 212. Every calibration must account for Boulder's elevation.
This is not a footnote in our process. It is the foundation. Every repair we perform begins with altitude awareness and ends with altitude-verified testing.
